In her second studio album jazz singer Anna Margolina turns yiddish poetry into music. She has rediscovered the beautiful work of Anna Margolin (1887-1952) with whom she not only shares her name, but also the country of origin. The result embodies a broad, melodic and contemporary view on jazz, embracing elements of folk, soul and electronic. Presented by a strong collective of well-known and versatile musicians, the record is released in June 2026 on XJAZZ! Music.

Jazz verbindet sich hier mit Elementen aus Folk, Soul und Elektronik. Neben Vertonungen treten erstmals auch Eigenkompositionen in Erscheinung. Anna Margolina is a Berlin based jazz vocalist, composer, bandleader - born in Belarus, raised in a musicians family. In her programs she embodies and represents styles from the 1930s Great American Swing to contemporary, original compositions. Anna released her debut album “One Endless Night” in 2023, telling her personal immigration story. The singers new album “Song Of A Girl” out since June 2026 on XJAZZ! Music features a yiddish poet, that was born too early - questioning concepts such as gender, religion, nationality and love in a traditional sense. Nationwide radio stations and jazz magazines feature the compositions broadly since their release.
